Moshe Rebeynu

Neo Hassidic - Letting HASHEM into our lives is what it's all about. We do it through our exuberance in our own ideas and acts in regard to dress, prayer, song, dance, and Torah learning. All this stimulates us to do "The Mitzvot " making this world a better place for ourselves and everyone else, Jewish or not.

CHUKAT

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our attention on the unfoldment of the instructions given by ECHAD, Blessed be His Holy Name, to the NAVI MOSHE. The SIDRAH begins with the following statement, “This is the decree of Torah, which HaShem has commanded, saying: Speak to the children of Israel, and they shall take to you a completely red cow, which is without blemish and upon which a yoke has not come.” Num. 19:2. To ascend into the ROOT LANGUAGE of this mystery, we begin with scanning the Hebrew spelling of the term RED COW.

The Hebrew spelling of the term RED COW is פרה אדמה. Scanning these OTIOT (letters) will engender the kindling of intuitive discernment experienced in the SEFIRA, BINAH. The intuitive discernment is above that of the five senses. Therefore the effect of scanning will not be perceived by the EGO, yet the understanding of the ROOT LANGUAGE will occur. This is based upon the EMET that Hebrew letters are comprised of clusters of light that are arranged in the BRANCH LANGUAGE of Torah for the purpose of accessing information from the upper forces of spirituality.

The preparation of the RED COW is for the purpose of purification from TUMAT HAMET. The Hebrew transliteration TUMAT HAMET is interpreted as the FEAR OF DEATH which is a quality of the EGO. This quality of the EGO, that is, the fear of death, is the first correction after receiving the revelation of being ONE WITH G-d. The revelation that the SOUL is a SUPERNAL SPARK, that is, ONE WITH G-d, discloses that the individual is DEATHLESS. This EMET (truth) rests upon the foundation that G-d is ETERNAL, INVISIBLE and IMMORTAL. To have the fear of DEATH and Be one with G-d is contradictory. This discloses that once the revelation of ISRAEL (one with G-d) is received, the next correction is to purify oneself from TUMAT HAMET.

The instructions for the preparation of the RED COW for the purification from TUMAT HAMET when viewed from the ROOT LANGUAGE discloses the process. What is revealed is that a TEACHER is required for the disclosure and application thereof. The TEACHER must possess the LIGHT of PURIFICATION for the ADMINISTRATION. This is to be accompanied by the discernment of the vessel of reception in order that the LIGHT of ILLUMINATION will shine in the vessel created for it. If it is not the appropriate vessel, it will reject the LIGHT of ILLUMINATION.

KORACH

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our attention on the response of the NAVI MOSHE to the rebellion of KORACH and his company against the SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP of BENEI YISRAEL. KORACH and his company had brought a false accusation against MOSHE and AARON the Spiritual Leadership of YISRAEL. It is written, “They gathered together against MOSES and against AARON, and said to them, It is too much for you! For the entire assembly all of them are holy and HaShem is among them; why do you exalt yourselves over the congregation of HaShem.” Num. 16:3.

The response of MOSHE discloses what is implied by SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP, Torah declares, “Moses heard and fell on his face.” Num. 16:4. This response is what is termed CARPET PRAYER. CARPET PRAYERS are prescribed prayers that are administered three times a day. Those three times are termed: SHACHARIT (morning), MINCHAH (afternoon) and MAARIV (evening) prayers. They are purposed to aid in tapping into the energy of the day. At SHACHARIT, that is, between sunrise and noon, the energy is that of KINDNESS. At MINCHAH, that is, between noon and sundown, the energy is that of JUDGMENT. At MAARIV, the energy is that of MERCY, the time is from sundown to sunrise. The observance of the times of the day coupled with the appropriate prayers gives rise to aligning oneself with the system termed ADAM KADMON and becoming a conduit of the LIGHT. The NAVI MOSHE’S response to the challenge with CARPET PRAYER empowered him with UNLIMITED POTENTIAL, while demonstrating that SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP is the result of submitting the PHYSICAL BODY to the HIGHER GRADES of the SOUL.

The HIGHER GRADES of the SOUL are what is termed in IVRIT (Hebrew) as CHAYAH and YECHIDAH. These states of CONSCIOUSNESS are states of non differentiation. CHAYAH is non differentiation with the sense of the I AM. YECHIDAH is non differentiation without the sense of the I, but the sensation of the ALL. In these HIGHER STATES of CONSCIOUSNESS, one is empowered to experience an EXPANDED CONSCIOUS whereas there is a revelation of the future. By this MOSHE is enabled to effect the WILL of ECHAD which will UNFOLD the GOAL of CREATION.

Likewise employing EFFECTIVE PRAYER at the appointed times will engender engagement with the LIGHT of the EXPANDED CONSCIOUSNESS (MOCHIN DE GADLUT). Thus ascending above the challenges into the experience of STILLNESS, PEACEFULNESS, QUIETNESS and CONFIDENCE rendering the FULLNESS OF JOY.

SHELACH

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our attention on the opening narrative of the PARASHAT. It is written, “HaShem spoke to Moses saying, Send forth men, if you please, and let them spy out the land of Canaan that I give to the Children of Israel, one man each from his father’s tribe shall you send, every one a leader among them. Moses sent them forth from the Wilderness of Paran at HaShem’s command; they were all distinguished men; heads of the Children of Israel were they.” Numbers 13:1-3. From this scenario, we are given instructions on how one should effect the ASCENSION into Spirituality.

Spirituality is the experience of MOCHIN DE GADLUT, i.e., an expanded consciousness. In egism, which is body consciousness, that is, the experience of OLAM (the world) through the five senses, the awareness is one of limitation. This limited awareness is termed MOCHIN DE KATNUT in Hebrew. The transliteration MOCHIN DE KATNUT is indicative of a constricted consciousness that gives rise to a narrow existence. The narrow existence, from the perspective of time, is an awareness of only that which is in the past and the present. On the other hand, the expanded consciousness termed MOCHIN DE GADLUT not only embraces the PAST and the PRESENT but also the FUTURE. It is the knowledge of THINGS TO COME that is revealed in Spirituality.

From the ROOT LANGUAGE, the LAND mentioned in the text is indicative of Spirituality. The command from the Holy Blessed One of Israel to spy out the land is an instruction suggesting that spiritual leadership is to investigate SPIRITUALITY before attempting to lead the protege in the attainment. We can not lead a person to a place that we have not been. This would be the BLIND leading the BLIND.

Thus we are able to conclude from this scenario that competent SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP is that which has attained SPIRITUALITY and thus empowered to lead others.

BEHA'ALOTCHA

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing upon the instruction given to the NAVI MOSHE upon the opening SIDRA. It is written, “HaShem spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and say to him, When you kindle the lamps, toward the face of the Menorah shall the seven lamps cast light.” NUM. 8:1,2  To discern this instruction concerning the lighting of the lamps of the MENORAH from the ROOT LANGUAGE, we begin by what is implied by the term MENORAH from the perspective of MISHKAHN DAVID (Tabernacle of David).

From the perspective of MISHKAHN DAVID, the MENORAH is descriptive of the SEFIRA BINAH of the PARTZUF (Spiritual form). In relationship to the physical body, It is the left side of the brain. The IVRI (Hebrew) transliteration BINAH is interpreted to mean understanding. The left side of the brain is said to be intuitive in nature. Bringing these two premises together in concert with the physical body would suggest that the MENORAH is indicative of intuitive discernment that occurs in the left side of the brain. Thus intuitive discernment can be kindled by employing SUPERNAL INSTRUCTIONS.

It was disclosed that the purpose of kindling the MENORAH is that the seven lamps would cast light. This is to suggest that INTUITIVE DISCERNMENT is not only for the benefit of the individual, but also for the benefit of others.

INTUITIVE DISCERNMENT is what gives rise to the elimination of the experience of CHAOS, that is, darkness. The darkness is the CHAOS produced by the erroneous perception of the EGO. The EGO only perceives about 10% of reality. The other 90% cannot be perceived by the 5 senses, thus rendering the experience of CHAOS. In reality there is nothing but ECHAD, Blessed be His Name, and G-d is the good that only does good. With 90% of reality concealed, there is a narrow existence, with the majority of it being CHAOTIC. Intuitive discernment engenders aid in the unfoldment of CORRECT PERCEPTION eliminating CHAOS and experiencing MOCHIN DE GADLUT, that is, the expanded consciousness.

The Hebrew letters contained in Torah are comprised of clusters of light. Scanning the Hebrew words contained in the BRANCH LANGUAGE of Torah is liken to scanning items at the register of a store. When the item’s barcode is scanned, the information thereof is seen on a screen. Likewise when scanning the Hebrew text of Torah, the intuitive discernment is experienced at the HIGHER LEVELS of CONSCIOUS. This experience gives rise to seeing beyond the CHAOS, thus experiencing the PERFECTION of ECHAD. The LIGHT not only benefits the individual that scans TORAH, but also those who are in his/her sphere of AUTHORITY who are living in a state of OPENNESS, which is termed the casting of light.

As spiritual leaders employing the scanning of Torah on a daily basis, we become a LIGHT that cast It’s brightness upon the CHAOTIC EXPERIENCE in this Present World System.
