BALAK

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our ATTENTION on the title of the PARASHAT. The title of the PARASHAT is BALAK. BALAK was the son of Zippor, the king of MOAB. The scenario concerning BALAK has to do with a survey that had been made by the MOABITES about the children of YISRAEL. The victory that YISRAEL had won over the AMORITES was the foundation of the SURVEY. The victory gave rise to the feeling of being threatened. The reaction to the feeling of being threatened engendered a meeting between the leadership of MOAB and the elders of MIDIAN. The result of the meeting was to hire a NAVI (prophet) to curse YISRAEL.

The purpose of the curse was to weaken YISRAEL, which would make our nation vulnerable to the attack that MOAB and MIDIAN would launch against us. Within the SCENARIO are revelations on how to master the worlds that we are destined to journey as well as how ECHAD’S HASGACHAH is working in our favor.

Those who undergo the human conscious experience are destined to journey through five worlds in order to experience transformation. The transformation is from MORTALITY to IMMORTALITY. The worlds that we journey through are ASSIYAH, YETZIRAH, BERIAH, ATZULUT and ADAM KADMON. The qualities of these worlds are INANIMATE, VEGETATIVE, ANIMATE, SPEAKING and PURE SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS respectively. The journey through these worlds is a CONSCIOUS ASCENSION that gives rise to the fulfillment of the GOAL of CREATION. The GOAL of CREATION is to become ONE WITH G-d. The GOAL manifests as ETERNAL LIFE in the PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, INTELLECTUAL SHEAVES, which is IMMORATLITY.

The majority of those who are undergoing the human conscious experience have ascended into the SPEAKING WORLD. By mastering the speaking world, the transformation from MORTALITY to IMMORTALITY is ATTAINED. The scenario of BALAK reveals how ECHAD works behind the scene to ensure that YISRAEL will attain the GOAL of CREATION as well as the EMET that SPEAKING what ECHAD SPEAKS is how to MASTER the world of ATZULUT.

CHUKAT

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our ATTENTION on the title of the PARASHAT. The title of the PARASHAT is CHUKAT. The IVRI transliteration CHUKAT is interpreted into the English term, DECREE. While the IVRI transliteration CHUKAT is interpreted to mean DECREE, the term carries with it the idea of a command that is not easily understood but when obeyed, comprehension occurs.

The SIDRAH commences with the SCENARIO of the RED COW. Instructions are given on how to prepare a mixture containing prescribed components of the RED COW to produce a purifying agent. The agent of purification is to be employed to cleanse one who has become TAMEI (contaminated) by coming into contact with METIM (death).

Torah discloses that the physical body of one who has undergone METIM is TAMEI. No doubt the reasoning behind the physical body that is separated from the SOUL becoming TAMEI is because of failure to fulfill the GOAL of CREATION. 

The GOAL of CREATION for those who are undergoing the human conscious experience is to be ONE WITH ECHAD. The fulfillment of the GOAL is the manifestation of IMMORTALITY in the physical body. The NAVI Isaiah wrote, “He (ECHAD) will eliminate death forever, and my Lord HaShem/Elohim will erase tears from all faces…” (Isaiah 25:8a) In this prophetic utterance, it is revealed that ECHAD has established the GOAL for those who are undergoing the human conscious experience to become IMMORTAL. Since the physical body that undergoes METIM did not manifest ETERNAL LIFE, it is considered TAMEI. This discloses that death is not inevitable, but rather the opposite of the fulfillment of the GOAL of CREATION by those who are undergoing the human conscious experience.

The NAVI Daniel is given a vision of those who fulfill the GOAL of CREATION, it is written, “Many of those who sleep in the dusty earth will awaken: these for everlasting life and these for shame, for everlasting abhorrence. The wise will shine like the radiance of the firmament, and those who teach righteousness to the multitudes (will shine) like the stars, forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:2,3) In this prophetic utterance, not only is it revealed that a time has been predetermined by the SUPERNAL when ETERNAL LIFE will be made manifest in the physical body but also the mechanic that will engender the event. The mechanic that will engender the event is the instructions of the TZADAKIM (righteous) who have been sent by ECHAD to aid in the TRANSFORMATION.

KORACH

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our ATTENTION upon the title of the PARASHAT. The title of the PARASHAT is KORACH. KORACH is descendant of Levi. The tribe of Levi was purposed by ECHAD to aid the KOHANIM (Priesthood) in the work of the MINISTRY.

The SCENARIO discloses the Desire of Korach to be one for power. In particular the power to influence thought, opinion and behavior. To fulfill the Desire for Power, Korach engaged in SELF-PROMOTION. The NAVI Isaiah was given an admonition to give to the King of Babylonia warning against SELF-PROMOTION. It is written, “How have you fallen from the heavens, O glowing star; you have been cut down to the ground, O conqueror of nations? You had said in your heart, I will ascend to the heavens; higher than the stars of God I shall raise my throne; I will sit at the Mountain of Meeting, on the northern side; I will ascend over the tops of the clouds; I will liken myself to the Most High! But to the nether-world have you been lowered, to the bottom of the pit!” (Isaiah 14:12-15) In this prophetic utterance, it is disclosed that SELF-PROMOTION is contrary to the will of ECHAD. It further reveals that the SUPERNAL JUDGMENT on SELF-PROMOTION is demotion. In other words, those who set themselves up are destined to fail.

The JUDGMENT on SELF-PROMOTION is based on the PREDETERMINATION OF THE SUPERNAL. It is written, “For neither from the sunrise nor from sunset, nor from the wilderness comes greatness. For God is the Judge, He lowers this one and raises that one.” (Psalm 75:7,8) In this passage, it is revealed that greatness, that is, power is delegated by ECHAD, yea, there is but ONE POWER, and the ONE POWER is ECHAD. Therefore ECHAD delegates the POWER to whom He wills. This discloses that SELF-PROMOTION is EGOTISTIC, yea, that is OPPOSITE of ECHAD. Thus those who set themselves up are destined to go down.

SHELACH

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our ATTENTION upon the title of the PARASHAT. The title of the PARASHAT is SHELACH. The IVRI (Hebrew) transliteration SHELACH is interpreted to mean SEND FORTH. The PARASHAT opens up with the SCENARIO of HaShem addressing the NAVI MOSHE concerning the sending forth of men to spy out the PROMISED LAND. The wording employed by HaShem seems to imply that sending forth the spies is OPTIONAL. It is written, “HaShem spoke to Moses saying, Send forth men, if you please, and let them spy out the Land of Canaan that I give to the Children of Israel…” The words “if you please” seem to imply that the sending out of the spies was OPTIONAL, that is, left up to the discretion of the NAVI Moshe.

No doubt the possession of the PROMISED LAND had been predetermined at the CAUSAL LEVEL of CONSCIOUSNESS is certain to take place in TIME and SPACE. The question is, why was it necessary to send in spies to SURVEY that which will ultimately be possessed?
The option that was being presented to the NAVI Moshe is revelatory that the PROMISES are subject to unfolding as a PROCESS. In other words, the SURVEY given by the leaders was destined to reveal their perception of the MATTER.

One’s perception of a MATTER effects one’s ability in the attainment of the GOAL. In other words, the time of the attainment of a GOAL can be now, but the perception of the one who is destined to make the attainment can hinder the unfoldment, yea, a lack of CONFIDENCE can HINDER what is meant to be obtained in the NOW.

An effective leader is one who comprehends the perception of his/her proteges. The comprehension of the perception gives rise to providing the spiritual counsel that is needful for success. An effective leader is one who understands that his/her success is based on the SUCCESS of his/her proteges. The option given to the NAVI Moshe was to enable in the comprehension of the perspective of his proteges.
