Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our attention upon the opening scenario of the SIDRAH. The PARASHAT begins with the chronicles of YAACOB with YOSEF as it’s focal point. YOSEF is presented as a seventeen year old who is favored above the other sons of YAACOB and often uncovers the errors of his brothers to his father.

The uncovering of his brothers along with being favored by YAACOB gave rise to strife in the MISHPACHAH (family). Strife which is hatred is perpetuated in uncovering. When an individual uncovers another, three people are hurt: the one that is uncovered, the one that does the uncovering and the one who is informed concerning who was uncovered. Uncovering is the practice of witchcraft, which is forbidden in TORAH and creates division in a corporate group. Uncovering seems to be the thing to do, but the HIGHER LEVELS OF CONSCIOUS BEING employs the mechanic which declares, “Hatred arouses strife, but love covers all offenses” when given a situation. To drive out EVIL is the goal, uncovering gives rise to its multiplication.

Contrary to YOSEF’S tendency to uncover, there was another source that created strife among his brothers, that is, that he is a VISIONARY. A visionary is one who sees the invisible, feels the intangible thus being EMPOWERED to do the IMPOSSIBLE. That which he saw and felt was revealed to him in DREAMS. Although his DREAMS seemed threatening to his MISHPACHAH, they will prove to be the SOLUTION to the PROBLEMS they were destined to undergo. The DREAMS that he had were DREAMS of CLARITY that will give rise to the PRESERVATION of HIS MISHPACHAH. When YAACOB heard the DREAMS of YOSEF, which seemingly countered what was EXTERNAL to him, he employed them as MENTAL WHISPERS engendering a CONSCIOUS ASCENSION out what seemed to be CONTRARY. The mechanic of EMPLOYING MENTAL WHISPERS in order to ASCEND out of EGOISM is a part of the CORRECTION we need to undergo in the ATTAINMENT of the GOAL of CREATION, which is PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY and the unfoldment of the everlasting KINGDOM of YISRAEL.

To become clear as to how to employ a MENTAL WHISPER requires submission to the TORAH TEACHER that ECHAD has predetermined for our lives. In this approach, we shall trek the PATH OF LIFE and actualize the TRUTH OF BEING in that which houses the SOUL.

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our attention on the opening scenario. The SIDRAH begins with a description of YAACOB’S plan to gain perception on ESAV’S demeanor towards him on his return home. To gain perception, YAACOB sent forth MALACHIM (messengers) to inform ESAV of his return. The MALACHIM were instructed to present YAACOB as an EVED (servant) to ESAV, who had amassed wealth and is seeking his favor. The MALACHIM met with ESAV and returned with the report that ESAV was on the way to meet him with four hundred men. Because YITZCHAK had blessed ESAV with MILITARY MIGHT and along with the anger that he harbored on account of the deception YAACOB had committed in receiving the BLESSING, the meeting was frightful to YAACOB. In response to the fear that he experienced, YAACOB addresses ECHAD concerning the DREAM that he had at BETH-EL, he declared, “Rescue me, please, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of ESAV for I fear him lest he come and strike me down, mother and children. And YOU had said I will surely do good with you, and I will make your offspring like the sand of the sea which is too numerous to count.” Genesis 32:12,13. YAACOB’S response to the EVENT discloses what it means to be a Jew. To be a Jew is to be in BRIT (COVENANT) with ECHAD.

A BRIT is descriptive of a LEGAL RELATIONSHIP, yea, it is a CONTRACT between two parties. When there is a breach between the two parties based upon what seems to be a failure on the part of one in the performance of what has been agreed on, the complaining party has a right to address. A BRIT had been cut between ECHAD and YAACOB, with the promise that He would do good to YAACOB and make his offspring numerous like the sand of the sea. ESAV’S approach was threatening, YAACOB’S response was to remind ECHAD about the BRIT. As aforementioned, this relationship between ECHAD and YAACOB is descriptive of what it means to be a JEW, yea, the JEW is in BRIT relationship with G-d by way of a LEGAL commitment binding to TORAH. When there is seemingly a breach that occurs, the JEW has a right to state the case. The stating of the case is termed HITBODEDUT.

To be a JEW is to have another perspective of G-d. This perspective is based upon the ORAL LAW, that is, the ROOT LANGUAGE of TORAH. Our relationship begins as a personal relationship based upon a LEGAL BINDING to TORAH. This LEGAL BINDING when observed will engender an ASCENSION into that which is IMPERSONAL where we will ACTUALIZE our CONSCIOUS UNION with ECHAD into BEING.

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by placing our ATTENTION on the opening SCENARIO. The opening scenario picks up where it leaves off in the previous parashat in which YITZCHAK sent away YAACOB to LABAN the brother of REVCHAH. The journey led YAACOB in the direction of HARAN where he encounters a place and spends the night. After arranging a place to sleep and lays down, he dreams.

Dreams may be placed under two categories. Those categories are DREAMS of CLARITY and KARMIC DREAMS. DREAMS of CLARITY are dreams that reveal what has been predetermined to occur in SPACE and TIME in PURE SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS. On the other hand, KARMIC DREAMS are dreams that reveal things that are on the SUBCONSCIOUS LEVEL. The dream that was experienced by YAACOB was a DREAM of CLARITY revealing what ECHAD had predetermined to occur in his future. In the WHOLE of REALITY, a DREAM of CLARITY is perceived as a SOLUTION to a PROBLEM that one will experience in the unfoldment of the GOAL of CREATION. In other words, in the higher levels of consciousness, the ANSWER appears before the PROBLEM. Wherefore one is never without a SOLUTION no matter what the PROBLEM.

Since DREAMS of CLARITY are revelations of SUPERNAL INTENT, they are also a part of the ROOT LANGUAGE. When speaking of ROOT LANGUAGE, we are referring to ORAL LAW. In other words, YAACOB’S DREAM of CLARITY is a disclosure that he possessed the ORAL LAW of TORAH. There is a question among some as to whether or not the PATRIARCHS possessed the TORAH. The DREAMS of CLARITY they had discloses that they DID. As aforementioned, the DREAMS of CLARITY are solutions to problems yet to be experienced. The DREAMS of CLARITY are instructions that effect the behavior in that which is to come. Indeed they are revelations of ORAL TORAH that inspire SUPERNAL BEHAVIOR.

Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by placing our ATTENTION on the opening SCENARIO. The opening scenario deals with the birthing of twins by Rebecca (REVCHAH) the wife of Isaac (YITZCHAK). REVCHAH (Rebecca) was barren which gave rise to YITZCHAK (Isaac) entreating HASHEM for conception. No doubt the prayers of YITZCHAK were based on the PREDETERMINATION of HASHEM to make of AVRAHAM a great nation. (Read Genesis 1:12)

The promise to AVRAHAM to become a great nation has to do with the unfoldment of a paradigm. In other words, the greatness of the nation is in that it is to be an ENSAMPLE to the rest of the NATIONS of OLAM (the world) as to how to maximize its potential. The maximizing of the potential latent within AM YISRAEL will engender the manifestation of SUPERNAL GOVERNMENT. It is the SUPERNAL GOVERNMENT that is destined to rule OLAM. It is written, “And the kingship the dominion and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens will be given to the holy supreme nation (AM YISRAEL) its kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey it. Daniel 7:27. Without a doubt, the greatness of AM YISRAEL rests upon the foundation of submission to the Supernal Government.

The term government may be described as a controlling force. This reveals that the greatness of AM YISRAEL is based upon obedience to ECHAD. The obedience gives rise to the unfoldment of the GOAL of CREATION. The GOAL BEING the manifestation of PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY at the individual level and an ATMOSPHERE that will support PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY at the CORPORATE LEVEL. The ATMOSPHERE that supports PHYSICAL IMMORTALITY is to be demonstrated by AM YISRAEL in submission to the SUPERNAL GOVERNMENT.

The birthing of the twins ESAV and YAAKOV discloses that there will be a struggle in the unfoldment of the GREAT NATION. The struggle commences in the womb and continues to this day. The struggle is one between the SPIRITUAL and the CORPOREAL. It was revealed to REBECCA (REVCHAH) that ultimately the CORPOREAL will serve the SPIRITUAL. It is in this order that the CORPOREAL as well as the SPIRITUAL will maximize the CONCEALED POTENTIAL that is LATENT within. Without a doubt, the JEWISH PEOPLE have the corporate purpose of demonstrating SPIRITUALITY in OLAM. The demonstration will engender the GOAL of CREATION with the experience of the fulness of joys and eternal delights.
