Shalom, Shalom. We commence this DEVAR TORAH by focusing our ATTENTION upon the title of the PARASHAT. The title of the PARASHAT is VAYAKHEL. The IVRI transliteration VAYAKHEL is indicative of the term “ascended.” The portion opens up with the SCENARIO of MOSHE REBEYNU assembling BENEI YISRAEL for the purpose of disclosing to them those things that the G-d of YISRAEL had predetermined them to EMBODY.

Since the G-d of YISRAEL is ONE with HIS WORD, those things that He had commanded BENEI YISRAEL to EMBODY reveal the METHOD in which we are to EMPLOY in the ACTUALIZATION of our CONSCIOUS UNION with HIM into being. Yea, once the REVELATION is received that we are ONE WITH G-d, we are destined to ACTUALIZE IT into being. It is the ACTUALIZATION of the REVELATION into being that gives rise to the MANIFESTATION of the GLORY of ECHAD in the earthen realm. The MANIFESTATION is the CONCEALED QUALITIES of ECHAD being REVEALED. It is the REVELATION of the CONCEALED QUALITIES of G-d that engender the end of ALL SUFFERING.

MOSHE REBEYNU commences the revelation with the following, it is written, “On six days work may be done, but on the seventh day shall be holy for you, a day of complete rest for HASHEM, whoever does work on it shall be put to death. You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the SHABBAT day.” (Exodus 35:2,3) The concept that CAPITAL PUNISHMENT is to be the SENTENCE for one who VIOLATES the SHABBAT is an indication that we are destined to look at this COMMANDMENT from a HIGHER PERSPECTIVE, yea, whenever TORAH presents something that seemingly defies REASONING, it is an INDICATION TO examine it from a HIGHER PERSPECTIVE or the ROOT LANGUAGE.

Our examination commences with the statement that the SHABBAT is a “complete rest for HASHEM.” No doubt this is a reference disclosing the ceasing of LABOR is for the purpose of ASCENSION into a CONSCIOUS UNION with ECHAD. The absence of this CONSCIOUS UNION is separation. SINCE ECHAD is LIFE, separation from a UNION with HIM is the opposite. That opposite is DEATH. Thus failure to make the ASCENSION on the SHABBAT is to experience SPIRITUAL DEATH. In other words, one puts oneself to DEATH when failing to SANCTIFY the SHABBAT.

ASCENSION into a CONSCIOUS UNION with ECHAD is ascension into a COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS. In the COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS, EGOISM does not exist. From this EMET (truth), we are able to discern that the prevention of the kindling of a fire is speaking of creating friction with others that gives rise to DESCENSION into EGOSIM. SPIRITUALITY can not be experienced in the DESCENDED STATE of INDIVIDUALITY. To be SPIRITUAL is to function in the CONSCIOUS STATE of A SUPERNAL COLLECTIVE. Without controversy, this COMMANDMENT is one that enables us to ACTUALIZE our CONSCIOUS UNION with ECHAD by entering into a SUPERNAL COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS.
